Wyze- monitoring camera

All things related to a baby are so expensive these days! We can get adult clothes and shoes way cheaper than for kids.

We have been looking for a good baby monitor and we didn’t find anything that we liked or within our budget.

One day when my husband went shopping at Walmart, he saw this Wyze monitoring camera for a decent price. He thought to give it a try and we love it now.

It came with a magnetic sticker for wall attachment. You can also keep it anywhere on a flat surface. The only thing is that it needs to be plugged in. We use it as a crib camera. Sometimes I even set it up in the living room to keep an eye on Adi playing while I cook! It is so convenient and we got it for a good price too!

To get a live video I have the Wyze app on my phone and iPad. I can get the feed on any or both devices at a time. It also has a two-way audio feed. I can talk to Adi through the camera and ask him to go back to sleep(to which he never listens ! ) if he wakes up. I can watch and listen to him if he is singing and dancing in the crib while I am washing dishesπŸ˜„!

You can also take pictures and record videos in the Wyze app. It saves on your device in which you use the Wyze app.

This monitoring camera has been so useful to us as a baby monitor. If you are looking for a baby monitor and you find it expensive you can use this as an alternative.

This is the one we got at Walmart : WYZE CAM V2, Model: WYZEC2

Note: This is NOT a sponsored post. It is my experience with this product we bought and I thought this information would be useful to someone out there!

How I spent the 4th of July long weekend

Last weekend was a long weekend because of the 4th of July holiday. As you all know, during long weekends the tourist attractions will be full of people. It is very difficult to find a good parking spot too. So we decided to explore local events and do some shopping.

Saturday

Saturday Adi and I were at home in the morning and my husband went out to run some errands. We had fun watching tv, sketching with his new drawing pad and crayons.

In the evening we went out to a local event held as an early celebration of the 4th of July.

Sketching with my son is a lot of funπŸ₯°

It was a live music show followed by fireworks. I haven’t been to a live music event in a very very long time. I enjoyed it very much. Adi was dancing throughout and I too joined him for a while.

Live band

It started getting very cold late in the evening and I layered up Adi with a sweatshirt, jacket, cap, gloves, and even an extra jogger.

We also had food trucks there where my husband stayed in line for 2 hours and did not get any food!! Then we had to order dinner on the way back home.

As the music ended the fireworks started and it was beautiful. We all enjoyed it a lot.

Sunday

I made fried garlic green beans as a side for lunch. We ate a lot of strawberries. My husband and I tried to cook a new recipe in the afternoon. The main course (jowar roti) experiment was a disaster! But the side dish came out tasty. Jowar roti is not that easy to make on the first attempt. So we were okay with it and we will try again until we finish the flour we bought πŸ˜€ In the evening we went out for a nice walk. It was a relaxing day.

Monday, the 4th of July

Adi is getting taller and his clothes are not fitting him anymore. Also, I saw some good offers for the 4th of July. It was good timing and we decide to go shopping.

We got some nice clothes at carters and Walmart for Adi. Kohls had some nice offers going on and I bought jeans and a shirt for myself. My husband got a couple of shirts and some pajamas.

I had fun trying on some dresses. I could not find anything that I liked and fit me well!

Then we went to Burlington which is right next to Kohls. I got a pair of blue striped trousers. I never got something like this before and I do not have any top that goes with it yet! Let me see how that works out for me! Adi got a new pair of shoes.

A short video about my long weekend. Please watch, like, share and comment. Also please subscribe to my channel.πŸ™‚πŸ™

The weather was nice and the sky was beautiful with a lot of clouds. We enjoyed walking outside, eating ice cream and driving around.

The 4th of July long weekend was a lot of fun with live band, fireworks, food, and shopping!

Do you like to attend live music? What do you do during long weekends usually? Let me know in the comments below.

I sure enjoyed the live music and I am thinking to attend local events more often.

Kings Beach, Lake Tahoe, California

Last Sunday, the weather was too hot to go out. So we thought to drive to a cooler place. Point Reyes was the first location that came to mind. When we checked the weather it was colder than we wanted. So we went to Lake Tahoe.

We have been to Lake Tahoe before, but not to Kings beach.

Kings Beach, Lake Tahoe, California

It was a 1 hour 45 minutes drive for us. As usual, I cooked meals for our road trip and we took some fruits and snacks too. We also took our portable chairs to sit and relax on the beach, some toys for Adi, and change of clothes.

As we reached there, we had our lunch and then we headed to the beach.

Vegetable fried rice

Kings beach is a very beautiful and nice place to chill during summer. This is on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. Even though it is not a sea shore we could see some smaller waves on the shore of the lake. The water was very clear and beautiful. Beach was full of sand like a sea shore and our son enjoyed playing there.

Adi also had his chair with cute paw patrol prints

It was not as cool as we expected there. The sand was very hot. But the water was cool. So we all (especially Adi!) enjoyed playing in the cool water and hot sand.

We got hungry late in the afternoon and my husband got us pizza from Whitecaps Pizza nearby while we played in the water.

There were restrooms and some restaurants nearby. Even some water taps outside the restroom to wash sandy sandals πŸ˜„

Before heading back home we went to a Starbucks nearby. I got a dragon drink, a new taste for me, and it was kinda good!. Adi got his afternoon nap late in the evening on the way back. When he woke up we almost reached home and he was asking to go to the beach! πŸ˜„

We all had fun and it was a nice Weekend.

Thank you for stopping by.

Momlife

Yesterday I got a notification from WordPress that it is my blog-Carving my path’s Anniversary. It has already been a year since I started this blog.

My last post was in March and then I got a little busy with life πŸ˜€.

March is when the daylight savings started and the days started getting longer. Adi( my son) and I started to go out in the evening to play and for a little walk. He and I, both started making new friends and then it became a routine for us. I enjoyed meeting new people and making friends, chatting, and watching Adi play with all the kids. We both look forward to going out in the evening now.

Playing in the courtyard

Our apartment courtyard was our playground until we got an email from the management not to play there! Now we go to a nearby park. Adi and I miss our friends and sometimes we still meet in the courtyard just to catch up.

I love the sunset view from the park🀩

With the changes in routine and some afternoon naps, started the shortage of time πŸ˜€. Blogging and my art took a back seat for a while. I believe I am getting settled in with the new routine and finding some time for myself again. Hoping to write more and create some artwork in the coming days. Wish me luck!

Meanwhile, I got a little space set up for my artwork with a new desk and tripod to record my art videos.

My new art space (home studio/officeπŸ˜€)

So that’s my life update and a short blog post for today.

Reset

Last weekend I went to a lake nearby with family and it was a lot of fun and relaxing. I needed that very much after being home all day for a couple of weeks.

Lake, tree, and meadow 😍

The house was a mess as I was sick and last weekend I needed some time to tidy up a little. So we ordered food for lunch and Adi was playing with his dad. I managed to clean a little in that time.

After lunch, we went to a lake nearby. Adi enjoyed running through the meadow, picking up sticks and leaves, watching planes and birds. I enjoyed sitting and watching him play.

A relaxing afternoon by the lake

I love spending time with nature. The green meadow and the wildflowers were looking so beautiful. A relaxing Sunday afternoon helped me to ease my mind and reset.

This week I did not stick to my cleaning schedule and took care of things as and when possible. I took Adi for walks and the park. I cooked us nice meals. What I mean to say is I felt very productive this week and it was nice😊.

It’s park time….
